TO THE MINISTRIES OF
IMMANUEL BAPTIST CHURCH
Our desire at Immanuel Baptist Church is to share our faith and help others find eternal life in Christ Jesus. That eternal life is not about heaven but about a relationship with God as your Heavenly Father and with Jesus as your Lord, the Owner of your life (John 17:3, I Corinthians 6:19-20). Our ministries are designed to help each believer in Christ grow in faith, find ways to serve God in this life, and minister to others while we build the Kingdom of God and wait for the return of our Savior.
I would like to share a little country theology with you that will take you way past any understanding you might get from titles of respect in front of your name or any alphabet soup that might be attached to the end of your name.
Country theology says remember WHO GOD IS. He is the Potter and we are only the clay. Every event, every person, and every situation in your life is being used by the Potter to either move you to the center of the Potter’s wheel or mold you while you are in the center of that wheel. So give thanks for all of it and God will show you great things about your life.
Country theology says remember WHAT GOD DID. He sent Jesus...not to be your Savior but to be your Lord. He was your Savior by the design of God, but He can only be your Lord (your Owner) by your choice. So choose Him and you will find the rest many are missing.
Country theology says remember WHAT GOD IS DOING. He is using every event, person, and situation in your life to train you. He trains you, first, to prepare you to receive Jesus as your Lord. Then, He trains you to prepare you for some ministry He has that only you can do.
Country theology can and will help you grow far more than some formal education can. God is looking for ordinary people who will live their lives using ordinary truths that anyone can understand. Country theology...it always works.
